ROOKIES
Service Technician
Skylar has been with Kyrish Truck Centers for just under a year and has already proven to be one of the most trusted and hard-working technicians. He constantly looks to improve himself, learn more, and do more. Skylar showed he is willing to do whatever is asked of him and go the extra mile by volunteering to work extra hours to perform the A26 power cylinder recall for all 40 for a local customer. He has been getting these done within warranty times and pulling the next one in and keeps on going. He is a rare find who we truly appreciate.
Skylar is always the first one to volunteer anytime something extra is needed, including working overtime or weekends. Even with minimal experience on the job, he meets or sometimes beats warranty time and is always in the top 10 in proficiency for the month. Skylar always wants to help anyone and everyone and is overall just a great person as well as being an awesome technician. Kyrish Trucks is lucky to have him!
Service Technician
I have had the opportunity to mentor many new technicians, but very few come in as humble and eager to learn as Trevor McDonald. He came to Allegiance Trucks with no truck service experience at all and quickly learned his trade, showing an impressive ability to learn new skills and his attention to detail. Within the first 6 months, we had him swapping A26 engines.
Trevor started as an apprentice plumber when he joined the army and became a Sargeant E5 before separating, and he spent his two-month ETS leave selflessly helping his grandfather replace the siding on his house. Trevor is always willing to help another technician, even climbing under the truck to do the dirty work to get the job done and back on the road for the customer. He finishes his tasks on time and correctly and almost never had a an unhappy customer.
Trevor consistently works above his technician rating of a C tech, doing A tech work, such as engine rebuilding and replacement. Even though he is still learning, he shows the same proficiency as other A level techs. He has also shown incredible competency using the Allegiance SOP working with the accelerated service lane performing quick repairs after the triage technician determines the cause getting the customer back on the road quickly with minimal to no comebacks and professional-looking results.
We are very lucky to have Trevor and look forward to seeing him grow as a technician and mentor the next generation. He works well with our team, sharing and supporting each other's goals and exemplifying the true meaning of the Allegiance Trucks united philosophy.
VETERANS
Service Technician
Christopher started working on Chevy and personal vehicles at the beginning of his automotive career. He had no knowledge of auto mechanics but was super strong-minded and dedicated to learning as much as possible to help the shop to the best of his ability. Not only did he get the hang of job fast but he also became a master tech! He got the opportunity to switch paths and broaden his automotive knowledge with Kingmor Supply Inc. and made the career jump. Since then, he has dedicated his strong work ethic to becoming the number 1 tech in our shop and has now taken the reins as shop foreman. We are closing more repair orders and seeing many fewer comeback repairs than last year. Christopher not only helps everyone in the shop be the best they can be but also loves to teach and ensure everyone under his leadership is happy and on task.
This March our parts department was struggling to keep up with deliveries and they were staying late to count inventory. Christopher had already stayed late to help finish repairs on buses a customer needed back and after that he helped with the parts inventory. He wanted to make sure that no one had to stay too late and get stressed out.
Christopher has been Master certified through IC Bus and Cummins. In addition to being an amazing technician, he is also a great person and uses his mechanical knowledge and skills to help people. One day he Christopher and I were going to pick up parts at a location farther away than usual when we saw a gentleman stranded in a ditch and struggling to remove a tire. Christopher asked me to pull down to the ditch and asked if the man needed help. Not only did Christopher help him remove his tractor wheel but also helped the man get whatever he needed from the catalog and sent him on his way safely. It's just one of the characteristics of a leader and why we at Kingmor are happy to have him as a part of our team. He not only is the most efficient tech we have now but on top of overseeing the other guys he still manages to close more tickets than the majority of anyone in the company statewide! He has the least amount of comeback back to ever hit our lot and he takes on some of the more difficult repairs.
