These tech professionals have less than two years of experience at the dealership, have shown commitment to Uptime by being top producers, have gone the extra mile, and have proven they are responsible and trustworthy.

Service Technician

In one year, Jackson has completed all required Navistar LMS training, Allison online training, and obtained his CDL. Jackson took the initiative and located a school where he could obtain his CDL. On his own time, he studied for and passed the written exam, and passed the driving portion on his first attempt.

Jackson shows a level of skill and maturity that sets an example even for techs who are at a higher level. In the time that Jackson has been with us, he has elevated himself to a position of trust where he can be assigned jobs typically done by higher-level technicians with minimal supervision. Jackson seeks to excel. He is very engaged in monitoring his performance to see how he measures up to his fellow technicians.

Jackson has been promoted to tech level 2 at Rush Truck Centers. He produces revenue equal to a tech level 5, and his proficiency is at a tech level 4. Jackson is a team player always willing to assist in any way. Jackson has a strong desire to grow in his chosen profession and is always looking for ways to increase his knowledge.

Service Technician

Damien is deserving of this nomination as he is one of the happiest people, always coming to work with a positive attitude and one of the best work ethics I have seen from someone of his age (20). He is always willing to tackle any job, from alignments to suspension springs — the bigger the task, the more he excels at it. Damien’s willingness to go the extra mile shows in his day-to-day work here at Altruck International Goderich. He is always smiling and jumping in to lend a helping hand to his fellow technicians. Damien’s approach is to make sure the customer gets their vehicle back at the time they are expecting it. He is willing to stay late or come in early as needed so the customers are satisfied and have their trucks to run their businesses.

Damien has earned the responsibility and trust of his fellow coworkers and customers. He has customers who always want him to work on their vehicles because he has gained their trust by ensuring their trucks are done on time and fixed correctly so that they do not have to come back. They are confident to drive down the road knowing the issue is repaired.

Damien always strives to be a top producer here in Goderich Altruck. He has been among the top three techs producing at an average of 82% proficiency since he began working here at Altruck. Damien will take on the challenge of producing well above his years of experience, and we are grateful for him and his abilities. He is going to be a great technician for years to come.

Damien is a special kid always willing to help. The guys took Damien out for his birthday to celebrate him, and while out at the restaurant, Damien saw a less fortunate individual and decided to purchase him a meal and drink so that the individual had food to eat. It was great to see the compassion from such a young individual in this time in society. He is the hardest-working person of his age I have ever worked with.

Service Technician

Chris Jordan ranks among the best of the best in our group at Ascendance Truck Centers. He is a flat-rate tech, and averages between 150%–160% productivity. Chris is the technician that any service managers dream of working with. He is the tech who is willing to work on anything and everything, and he is a top producer. Chris is a very dedicated team member, a great mentor, and most importantly just an all-around great person who enjoys life and lives his life to the fullest. Chris previously won the Cummins Rodeo. He is 100% International Truck and Bus Certified, including CV and S13 Integrated Powertrain, and 100% Cummins certified in ISB, ISL, and X15.

Many of our customers know Chris and trust his work. Quite often if we have what we call "repeat offenders" or comebacks, our regular customers will request to our service advisors to have Chris work on their trucks, because they know his skillset and dedication. In our shop, Chris is the tech who makes it all work. Many times, we will have challenging trucks that have been in 3–4 other shops with the same problem. Chris takes the initiative and stays dedicated to figuring out the root cause and successfully repairing the truck. Chris was also a mentor to one of our Uptime students, Canyon Philson, who was last year's Rookie Tech of the Year award winner. Chris played a very important role in growing Canyon as a technician and had a huge impact on the success Canyon has had in his career at such a young age.

Chris takes uptime very seriously and wants the International brand to be the best in the market vs. competition through uptime and his dedication. He has done A26 swings in less than 15 hours. This is extremely important in our market with the amount of competition we have and the type of customers we have. Lots of work is seasonal in the heavy haul or severe service application. Our dealership's biggest selling point over the competition is uptime. This would not be possible without techs like Chris working for Ascendance. He is a great planner, extremely intelligent, and dedicates himself to getting the job done right the first time.

Chris and his girlfriend Molly live in Chippewa Falls with their beautiful daughter Layla, who turns 2 this fall. They also enjoy anything related to the outdoors and spending time with their dog Diesel.

Antoine distinguishes himself through his exceptional mechanical knowledge and skills, providing valuable expertise to the team. Despite his limited years of experience, Antoine regularly completes his online mechanical training to be able to face workplace challenges. Challenges do not intimidate him; on the contrary, they motivate him to excel further in his field. In addition, he is highly trusted when it comes to handling Cummins engines, and he enthusiastically shares his passion for his profession on the TikTok platform. He is reliable and very loyal to the company. No matter the task assigned to him, Antoine manages to accomplish it within the given deadlines using a rigorous work process, thus demonstrating his constant commitment to operational excellence.
